My requirements for this project was to create packaging for two beers being sold as a pair for a Valentine’s Day collaboration. The clients’ main concern was having each can look visually complete standalone while also having an overarching message/theme when displayed side by side.
The main design incorporates brand imagery from the breweries (paper plane and cardinal bird) in a clean geometric style that suits both brands. When displayed together, the two birds are a subtle nod to Valentine’s Day ‘love birds’. There is a small heart to emphasize the bond between both companies. The cans share similar colour schemes with slight variations in colour placement and patterns to achieve a harmonious yet distinct design for both.
